If someone had told me that one day I’d be wearing a little piece of Hogwarts on my wrist, I probably would have laughed at them. The Magic of Collaboration
Timex has teamed up with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring the wizarding world to the dials of its classic models. The Harry Potter x Timex collection was created as a tribute to fans who want to literally wear their house on their wrist.
Each model in the Weekender collection features its own coat of arms, colors, and a detail reminiscent of the Sorting Ceremony. All versions are adorned with a blue hat that circles the dial like a seconds hand. It is a fusion of the brand’s tradition with the wizarding world, where time flows a little differently—sometimes faster, sometimes slower, but always magically.
The Magic Is in the Details
Timex has truly worked its magic here. The dial is visually divided by a central transparent disc, around which the aforementioned seconds hand—shaped like a wise man’s hat—circles. The beige, soft cream background gives the entire dial a subtle retro feel and a warm tone, which perfectly highlights all the intricate details. Numbers appear only at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions. The rest of the dial features the coats of arms of all four railways and the minute track.
And the best part? The INDIGLO backlight. In daylight, it looks a bit inconspicuous, but after dark, pressing the crown above the six o’clock position reveals the clearly visible Slytherin House crest and the word “Slytherin.” A green light spreads across the dial like the mist of a Potion of Despair—one that even Professor Snape wouldn’t be ashamed of.
Basic Ingredients
The polished case, made of low-lead brass with a diameter of 38 mm and a height of 9 mm, has a clean and elegant look. Thanks to its dimensions, slightly curved lugs, and weight of 46 g, the Weekender TW2Y76400QY is the perfect candidate for a unisex model. Personally, I was pleased not only by the polished finish—which will develop its own unique patina over time—but especially by the rounded edges of the case. What I could do without, however, is the luminescence on the hands.
Some people might be disappointed by the use of mineral glass. However, it offers excellent light transmission and provides a clear, unobstructed view of the dial—something sapphire glass wouldn’t provide. The watch is water-resistant to 3 ATM (30 m), so the most it can handle is rain and occasional hand washing. But you shouldn’t expect more from a dress watch from a special collection.
And the strap? It’s made of natural leather that’s been oiled and waxed to better resist water and gradually develop a softer texture with a patina from wear. While it’s not exactly a masterpiece of saddlery, it’s comfortable from day one. The embossed wise man’s hat on both ends of the strap adds just the right touch of magic. What slightly spoils the overall impression for me is the lack of quick-release buckles. On the other hand, the quality of the prong buckle deserves praise.

But there’s no magic involved here—just solid accuracy. Weighing just under 50 grams, it’s so light on your wrist that you hardly notice it’s there. The strap quickly adjusts to your wrist, the case doesn’t dig in, and the crown—though small—is easy to operate even without a wand.
